We hope you all had a restful break. This term we are continuing with our topic of Space because we are enjoying it so much!
This week the children got to make pancakes with Mrs Kay and Miss Hawkins. The children had great fun and really enjoyed eating their delicious pancakes.
We have started our ‘one minute’ talks on our favourite books…Julia Donaldson stories seem to be a hit so far! The children loved to talk about their favourite books and they have enjoyed sharing them with the class.
A reminder…On Monday 5th March at 6.30pm in the school hall there will be a talk on how to keep your children safe while using the internet. You are all very welcome to join us.
We have been very busy creating, drawing and painting. Our classroom looks out of this world! We have painted fantastic space pictures using pastels, glitter and paint. We have thought about questions we would ask an astronaut and had the best time playing in our rocket.
We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas, the children were very excited to tell us all about their presents and time spent with family and friends.
Our new topic this term is Space. We can’t wait to get started and have made plans to turn our home-corner into a rocket. Exciting adventures ahead!
Here is our new topic web: Topic-web
We hope you all have a lovely break. The children have worked incredibly hard this term and they should feel very proud of themselves. We certainly are!
We look forward to seeing the children again in the new year.
We loved playing with the water beads, we had a lot of messy fun trying to gather them all up. We counted them, made patterns with them and even used them to place inside numicon tiles. Slimy fun indeed!
Thanks to the hard work of our children and staff our classroom looks like it is under water! The children love playing in the submarine. They have enjoyed finding out and writing about different sea creatures, the results can be seen on our big board. Good work!
